Hi all,
First off, myself and the team wanted to say a huge thank you for checking out and supporting First Place Losers! It's always a bit nerve wrecking starting a new series, so it means the world to us you all showed up. We are now fully funded, and happy to see we also received "Project We Love".
We also wanted to announce some exciting news. For those of you attending San Diego Comic Con, Flobo Boyce: co-writer and co-creator of First Place Losers, will be at the show. He'll be speaking at the “Not So Strange Bedfellows: The Relationship Between Comics and Pro-Wrestling” panel at 12pm today in the Marriott ballroom 12. Come by and say hello!
Then very importantly, it's time to announce our first stretch goal! If we get to 100 backers, we'll be adding 4 content pages of in-world back matter for the book. Andriy's design work is next level, and you won't want to miss it! Here's an example:
Lastly we'll wrap up on some recommendations. These are projects/ creators I've backed and I'm excited about:
An action-packed story, with Sky-whales, airships, treasure hunting, and beautiful worlds. If you're a fan of fantasy and adventure, you'll love this book. I've gotten to know Curtis over the years, and not only is he a talented creator, but he couldn't be a nicer dude. Go check out this gorgeous 4 issue hardcover here.
We unfortunately weren't able to post in time as his campaign just recently ended, but you can still visit Gustaffo's online store to pick up his latest sketchbook and amazing Peruvian cyberpunk story. Like Curtis, Gustaffo is an incredible creator, and all around awesome guy. I'm excited for every release. Go check out his comics if you haven't already!
